Space and Time was donated to the community by Westmark Holdings Ltd. The sculpture is "a representation of Airdrie's growth integrating time, space and people to reveal the history of Airdrie," and is on permanent display in front of City Hall.

"WestMark is joining in on the Airdrie Centennial celebrations. To mark the centennial WestMark has contributed to the Legacy Arts Project which will be unveiled at Airdrie City Hall on September 10.

The Legacy Project is a sculpture representation of Airdrie’s growth integrating time, space and people to reveal the history of Airdrie. The sculpture will be displayed permanently in front of Airdrie City Hall. Sculptor, Honsun Chu, has been commissioned to create this testament to Airdrie’s history and future. Mr. Chu has created sculptures for 30 years and his work includes commissions both in the City of Calgary and Edmonton.

WestMark’s current development, Cooper’s Crossing, was named after the Cooper family who farmed the land for over 100 years. The Coopers’ pioneering spirit helped Airdrie become the wonderful place it is today and WestMark hopes to enrich Airdrie’s future by creating the City’s premier community as a home for generations to come.

The unveiling of the Legacy Arts Project is one of several events to be held during the official centennial celebrations September 10 to 12."
